Day 1Travel to Kibale National Park & Bigodi Wetland Walk

The scenic 5-hour journey takes you westward through Uganda's beautiful countryside to Kibale National Park, with a refreshing lunch stop in the charming town of Fort Portal. After checking into your comfortable lodge near Kibale Forest, you'll embark on an afternoon nature walk in the spectacular Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, located just 8 km from the park headquarters. The Uganda chimpanzee trekking experience is complemented by sightings of other primates in the wetlands, including black-and-white colobus monkeys, red colobus, and mangabeys.
